Darla
Yep that's right, the very same girl this rescue was built on is up for adoption. I love my girl to pieces and had to save her from being put down, but I know that I am not her forever home.
I think she's staffordshire terrier/boxer mix. Her snout is too short and she snores like a boxer. We can't afford to do the DNA test right now.
My nickname for her is sweet girl because seriously, she is so sweet!
Once you've become her person/people, she just wants to be with you and trusts you to no end.
She can be people selective and has a protective vibe where she has lunged at strangers/people coming into her home. We are working on these things in training.
Dog-friendly. Like to chase cats. Doesn't hurt them though.
She is housebroken and crate trained.
Knows basic commands and is very food motivated to keep on learning.
She is best in a calm household with older kids or no kids. Another dog would be good for her as she loves playing with Yazzy. But an active family would be just fine as well. No cats or other small pets.
She is available to foster, foster-to-adopt, or of course, to simply adopt.

Darla's fee is $100

Yasmin (Yazzy)
Bundle of energy and love, Yazzy runs around the backyard and wrestles with Darla for most of the day. She's a pit mix, but I believe she's mostly pit. All we knew is that she and her siblings were found as puppies in a box and a good samaritan turned them in.
She will approach quite friendly, but then get shy/scared and bark at you. She has BIG BARK!!!! It definitely sounds scary. The trainer says she is insecure. When you meet her, please ignore her. Like Cesar Milan says, "no touch, no talk, no eye contact." We are working on correcting this behavior in training.
At home, she barks at strangers/new people coming in. But once she warms up, she gives kisses. She was featured in a facebook post giving kisses to Jeanette and this was after only about 30 minutes.
She does not do well with small dogs. She prefers her own size. She's fine with cats.
She is housebroken and crate trained. Knows basic commands and is food motivated.
Yazzy would do great in a home with no small dogs, but another dog her own size is great. A cat or two or three is totally fine. Not sure about other small pets though. She's been great with kids. She needs a yard to run in and an ACTIVE family! She has alot of energy, so needs walk and alot of play time. She loves to chase the ball and play tug of war. She loves car rides, so bring her with you! Just keep in mind that she takes some time to warm up to new people
She is available to foster, foster-to-adopt, or of course, to simply adopt.

Remington (Remi)
This old man is seriously the best! He is great with other dogs, cats, new people, and bigger kids.
We are working on his excitement around littler kids via training. Right now, he's still got too much pep in his step and can knock little ones over and tends to not have great manners when it comes to food in people's hands.
All things we are working on in the Spencer training program.
But I truly mean it when I say he's the best. He is so chill and has stayed with me for a few days so I know that he does well in a new home. Of course, he has new place jitters just like any new dog, so he whined when being in his crate. But, his parents say he is crate trained and can be in his crate all day while they are at work.
He is housebroken. Rings the bell on the door to say he needs to go out.
He does have epilepsy and takes meds 3x a day.
He is NOT a barker at all!!! He loves people and is a great companion.
So if you are looking for a laid back dude to go with you to places and cuddle on the couch with you and your family, Remi is your guy!!!!
Remi is currently staying with his parents until a foster or adoptive family can be found. But the environment is not ideal. It's a bit stressful there :-(
Remi is available to foster, foster-to-adopt, or of course, to simply adopt.

Here Comes Treble (aka Treble)
Ok Office Fans delight because Here Comes Treble!!!!! This singing sensation of dog will knock your socks off with his skills. Not really, LOL!!
But Treble is pretty cool. He is very smart and would make a great trick dog or active companion.
He's about 8 months old. He and his litter mates were found abandoned on the side of the road and he's the LAST ONE!!!!
He is great with people! Loves all people, all the time! Loves kids and adults!
He loves cats too!!
Other dogs, ehhhh, some he likes, some he doesn't. He's okay being around other dogs on leash and has some doggy friends, but he would do best as the TOP DOG (only dog) in the house where he hog all the love and toys.
He is up-to-date on all his shots and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. He does still need to be neutered. He is housebroken.
Will you be his forever family and give him that loving, stable home he needs?
All Spencer Pet Rescue dogs come with group training lessons included for free and his neuter surgery is included.
Treble is currently in a foster home, but would be moe than happy to find a new foster home or of course a forever family.
Treble is available to foster, foster-to-adopt, or of course, to simply adopt.

1-year-old
Murphy
Small, mixed-breed. Weighs only 15 lbs.
Murphy comes to us from Partners for Pets. This poor little guy ~ only 1-year-old and I'm guessing his owners couldn't handle puppy behavior so they locked him in a closet. Someone tattled on them and that's how he was rescued by Partners for Pets.
This is why we have our mission. P4P saved him and worked with him. They realized he needed more training, needed out of the shelter environment, and so transferred him to us.
Murphy is currently in foster with Shauna, our trainer and is not ready for adoption.
Once he is, we will update here with more information.
What's Included In Your Adoption
Continued group training lessons are included for free.
Every dog is up-to-date on all shots, spayed/neutered (or soon-to-be), and microchipped.
As we get ramped up with our mission and funding also gets ramped back up, we will be including DNA testing and in some cases further supplies.
